Nebraska football donating spring game ticket sales to wildfire relief

The Nebraska Athletic Department has announced that all ticket proceeds from Nebraska's Spring Football Game will be donated to aid Nebraska wildfire relief efforts. The state has had four wildfires that have burned almost 750,000 acres of land in central and western Nebraska.

Governor Jim Pillen has issued an executive order to provide emergency relief. Athletic Director Troy Dannen said the decision to donate the ticket proceeds was easy.
"Nebraskans always step up in times of need, and we want to do our part to help our fellow Nebraskans affected by these wildfires."
The Nebraska Red-White Spring Football Game is scheduled for Saturday, March 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT and Cornhuskers Wire will have live coverage.
