Rosenior provided an update on Chalobah after the game, but wasn’t able to provide a timeframe on the England international.
Chelsea waiting for scan results on Trevoh Chalobah
The Blues have had issues defensively for the majority of the season, with a number of costly errors causing them to drop points.
Chalobah and Wesley Fofana have arguably been the best centre back pairing this season, but the Blues desperately need reinforcements in the summer, whilst the return of Levi Colwill can’t come soon enough.
With eight games remaining in the league, losing Chalobah for a prolonged period would be a huge blow given he’s made 41 appearances in all competitions.
Chalobah will almost certainly miss Saturday’s trip to Everton as the Blues continue their quest to secure a top five finish and Champions League football.
However, Law has provided an update, and revealed Chelsea are still sweating on the results of scans undergone by the 26-year-old.
He took to X.com and said:
“Told Chelsea are still waiting on the results of a scan to determine the severity of Trevoh Chalobah’s injury.
“There was optimism last night and this morning that it wasn’t as bad as feared, but yet to receive confirmation from a scan #cfc.”
Chelsea need overhaul at centre back
Whilst the Blues are waiting on scan results, the centre back department needs to undergo an overhaul in the summer.
Chelsea tried and failed in their pursuit of Jeremy Jacquet in January, with Liverpool winning the race for the France under-21 international.
