Freshman guard Nyk Lewis had to leave the game against Illinois after appearing to injure his right ankle early in the first half. Lewis has played in 34 of VCU's 35 games this year, and was a huge reason why the Rams beat North Carolina on Thursday.

Nyk Lewis injury update

In the opening minute of VCU's game on Saturday against Illinois, Nyk Lewis went down with what appeared to be a serious ankle injury. Lewis went up to grab a rebound, but landed awkwardly on his right ankle, which rolled pretty significantly.

Lewis had to be carried off the floor in order for trainers to look at his ankle.
