Junior Flyweight boxer Isis Sio is reportedly awake and breathing on her own after being placed in a medically induced coma following a brutal knockout loss this past weekend.

Sio suffered the knockout at ProBox Fight Night on Sat., March 21, 2026, inside the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino, California, where she faced Jocelyn Camarillo.

Just over a minute into the opening round, Sio was overwhelmed against the ropes by a barrage of punches before collapsing unconscious. The referee immediately stepped in to stop the fight as medical personnel rushed to her aid.

Check out the stoppage below:

Upon arrival at the hospital, the 19-year-old was placed into a medically induced coma as a precautionary measure.

“On behalf of CEO Garry Jonas and the entire ProBox family, we are praying for a speedy recovery for Isis Sio,” ProBoxTV said in a statement. “Ms. Sio is currently in a medically induced coma. Our thoughts are with her and her family at this very difficult time.”

Thankfully, there has been a positive update.

According to BoxingScene, Sio has since been taken off a ventilator, regained consciousness, and is now breathing on her own and able to speak — a significant step forward in her recovery.

Sio is now 1-3 in her professional career following the loss and had suffered stoppage losses in her previous two outings.

For now, the focus remains on her continued recovery.
