Wisconsin basketball forward to enter NCAA transfer portal

Wisconsin basketball forward Riccardo Greppi took to Instagram on Saturday to announce his plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-foot-10 forward becomes the second Badger to announce their intention to enter the portal following the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign, following sophomore wing Jack Robison. Wisconsin's season came to a close with an 83-82 defeat to No. 12 High Point in the NCAA Tournament on March 19.

Greppi, a native of Lecco, Italy, served as reserve forward for Greg Gard's group dating back to the beginning of last season. In two years with Wisconsin, he appeared in 22 games and accumulated eight points, 15 rebounds, three assists and one block across 40 minutes.

Despite the departures of point guard Daniel Freitag, veteran guard Camren Hunter and forward Chris Hodges after the 2024-25 slate to the transfer portal, Greppi elected to remain in Madison for a bench unit headlined by Braeden Carrington and Jack Janicki.

Greppi will enter the portal with two remaining years of eligibility when the window opens on April 7.
