Toronto man charged with human trafficking; Man sought for alleged assault

A Toronto man is accused of sex trafficking a woman via online ads and police are concerned there may be other alleged victims.
Toronto Police allege the man created advertising that included “sexualized pictures” and promoted “sexual services” by the female, whose age was not released.

Cops claimed in a release Monday that the man gave her cocaine as part of the “ongoing exploitation” and transported her to meet clients.
Any money the woman earned “was surrendered over to the accused and a large portion of it was kept by them,” police said.
Late this month, “the victim was met by members of the Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Enforcement Team, and a criminal investigation into the human trafficking was commenced.”
On March 24, Isaiah Cassim, 27, was arrested and charged with procuring exercising control, advertising another person’s sexual services, trafficking in persons, financial/material benefit in trafficking person over 18, material benefit from sexual services, withhold/destroy travel or identity document in trafficking person over 18, forcible confinement, traffic in schedule I substance (Cocaine); uttering threats/death or bodily harm, intimidation by threats of violence, possess proceeds of property or thing obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000, and assault.

MAN SOUGHT FOR ALLEGED THREATS, ASSAULT
Toronto Police are hunting a man accused of threatening and assaulting a person on several occasions.
The first alleged incident occurred on March 25, when police say an argument between the pair “escalated when the suspect physically assaulted the victim by choking them.”
The next day, on March 26, the pair were arguing when police allege “the suspect physically assaulted the victim by striking them and throwing them to the ground.” Police also claim he made threats to the victim, whose gender and age were not released.
Then on Sunday, in the Lumsden and Woodbine Aves. area, police allege the man “made threats” while “in communication” with the alleged victim.
Mario Norbert Fajko, 28, of Toronto, is wanted for two counts of uttering threats/death or bodily harm, assault, and assault/choking.
He is described as 5-foot-3 with a medium build, dark hair, and dark facial hair.
