I played tennis a week before we were leaving and a friend I was playing with asked if I was going stop playing since there was only a week until we leave and I wouldn’t want to hurt myself. I said no. I’m playing a few times this last week, but was taking a break from squash as I hurt my back playing (nothing says getting old as hurting your back playing a sport, especially when I wasn’t playing hard and did it on a very gentle shot). I hurt it, but finished out the game (and won). But it took me a few minutes to go up the stairs from the dungeon where the squash courts are.

My plan is to get myself into the best shape I can over the summer and then try squash again in the fall. If I hurt myself again, I’ll give up on squash. I’m one of the older guys that play, most of the ones I play with are 30 years younger and there is a reason most give it up by this age.

Anyway, Go Jays Go.
