Monaco’s Yanis Benchaouch courted in Europe and Qatar

AS Monaco’s young goalkeeper Yanis Benchaouch (19) is attracting interest ahead of the summer transfer window. According to Foot Mercato, clubs from Ligue 2, Serie B (AC Monza, Modena) and Serie C (Inter Milan B) in Italy, as well as Belgian, Dutch, Spanish and even Qatari (Al-Gharafa) sides, are interested in the Périgueux-born player.

However, despite the numerous approaches made to the 1.88-metre-tall player, none have so far resulted in a concrete offer.

Having won the Under-20 World Cup with Morocco last summer, Benchaouch turned down the professional contract that the Monaco management were prepared to offer him. Sidelined by injury for much of early 2026, the goalkeeper, who will celebrate his 20th birthday on 10th April, has notably played two matches in the Premier League International Cup U21 this season.

Having joined the ASM academy in the summer of 2021, he notably won the prestigious 2023 Coupe Gambardella alongside Saïmon Bouabré (19) and Aladji Bamba (19).
