Gary Woodland rises but Jacob Bridgeman remains PGA Tour money leader
· Yahoo Sports
A minor footnote in the inspiring story of Gary Woodland’s victory on March 29 in the Texas Children’s Houston Open is that he vaulted 90 spots on the PGA Tour money list with his biggest paycheck from any of his four non-major victories.
Woodland earned $1,782,000 for his five-shot victory at the Memorial Park Golf Club and shot from 116th on the money list to 26th. He joined 46 other PGA Tour players in earning $1 million or more in on-course money so far this season and has $1,982,753.

Aside from Woodland, the next biggest mover on the money list was Nicolai Højgaard, whose $1,079,100 check bumped him from 35th to 17th, and pushed him over the $2 million mark.
The top eight spots from the previous week, led by Jacob Bridgeman ($6,564,485), remain the same. Going into this week’s Valero Texas Open, expect some movement because 24 of the top-50 earners and 13 of the top 30 are in the field, led by No. 5 Collin Morikawa, No. 10 Sepp Straka and No. 13 Ludvig Åberg.
Morikawa is the only player who can catch and pass Bridgeman with the $1,764,000 winner’s check from the TPC San Antonio but the top 10 could be reshuffled substantially with five players between No. 10 Sepp Straka and No. 18 Tommy Fleetwood in the Texas Open field who can move up with a victory or at least a top-five check.
Who else joined the PGA Tour Millionaire’s Club?
It’s up to 48 now in at least $1 million on tournament earnings. There are 25 players with $2 million or more and 10 with $3 million or more.
In addition to Woodland, Johnny Keefer, Michael Thorbjornsen and Sam Stevens passed the $1 million mark.
