Unseasonal showers and a sudden dip in temperatures have left Punekars pleasantly surprised, with many taking to social media to joke that the city has "officially skipped summer season" this year.

Over the past few days, several parts of Pune have witnessed intermittent rainfall accompanied by cloudy skies and cool winds, bringing much-needed relief from the rising heat. Some areas like Hinjawadi and Baner have also witnessed a hailstorm, with netizens sharing pictures of the ground being covered in white.

This unexpected weather shift has led to a noticeable drop in daytime temperatures, which were on the rise a few days ago.

While the rains have brought a relief to the citizens, they have also raised concerns for farmers in nearby regions, as unseasonal showers have damaged crops nearing harvest.
