Turning point: Taos Jordan scored 3:41 into overtime and the Jacksonville Icemen kept playoff hopes alive, averting a home sweep and defeating the Florida Everblades 2-1 in ECHL hockey on April 4 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Around the rink: In a bizarre play, Griebel scored for Jacksonville at 1:47 of the second period but the puck continued through the back of the net. After review, officials determined that his shot was indeed a goal. … Oliver Cooper gave the Everblades (45-13-7-3) a first-period lead. … Jacksonville (27-31-8-1) bounced back after a 5-1 loss to the Everblades on April 3, which included three Florida power-play goals. … With five games to play, the Icemen stand five points behind the Savannah Ghost Pirates for the fourth and final playoff berth in the ECHL South Division. Savannah beat the Atlanta Gladiators 2-1.
